Core Mechanics

Fish appear as moving shadows in water — small, medium, large or giant — and each species prefers a specific body of water, season and sometimes weather. You cast your line, wait for the "!" marker and reel it in; some spots also let you dive for treasures. Legendary fish require the Legendary perk at Caldarus’ Statue (Fishing Level 30), and they announce themselves with a "legendary fish is nearby" message.
