Where Is the Museum & Who Runs It?

The Museum sits in The Narrows, west of Mistria, and is run by Errol, the curator and a member of Mistria’s Historical Society. It unlocks through the story quest “Museum Donations Wanted,” which becomes available once you reach the right town rank during the early chapters. Although Errol’s letter arrives on Spring 2, you can actually walk in and start donating as early as Spring 1, so there is no reason to wait on that first artifact. The building doubles as the center of the town’s collecting hobby, and every donation you drop off pays you straight away.

What to Donate: Fish, Bugs, Artifacts & Minerals

The Museum is split into four wings — Archaeology, Flora, Insects and Fish — and every item you donate belongs to a “set” inside its wing. Most sets need five specific items, and the only exception is the Legendary Fish Set, which needs just four. Across the wings the current version lists roughly 82 sets and 409 items, covering artifacts, fish, bugs, forageables and more, including the ores, gems and crystal berries you pull out of the mines. Each donation pays you Tesserae and Renown, so nothing you hand over is wasted, even the common items you find in a normal day of foraging, and because ores and gems count too, your mining runs double as museum runs.

How Museum Rewards Work

Rewards unlock per wing and scale with the number of sets you complete in that wing, not with which specific set you finish. Completing your first set in a wing earns a Wooden Treasure Box and a themed hat, such as the Explorer’s, Fishing, Farmer’s or Beekeeper’s hats. From 2-4 sets you start receiving Copper Treasure Boxes and themed clothing pieces, and higher totals unlock Silver Treasure Boxes with furniture recipes before the top tier hands out Gold Treasure Boxes and premium furniture. In practice, that means donating easy early-game fodder first is the fastest way to climb the reward tiers, because each set you close bumps your count for that whole wing, and two players can chase different wings and both reach the top tier as long as they keep closing sets.

Wing Highlights & Top-Tier Prizes

Each wing offers a themed outfit and its own furniture line, with rare items waiting at the very top of the ladder. Archaeology (22 sets) rewards the Explorer outfit and eventually standout pieces like the Dragon Statue and Gemstone Bridge, while Fish (22 sets) tops out with the Fin Hair Clips and Fish Scale Cape after 21-22 sets. Flora (19 sets) leads to the Tesserae Tree and Void Bonsai, and Insects (19 sets) finishes with butterfly, dragonfly and beetle accessories such as the Butterfly Wings, while the furniture recipes along the way are a reliable way to decorate your farmhouse without spending a fortune at shops. Legendary Fish & Special Donation Rewards

The standout donation is the Legendary Fish Set, the Museum’s only four-item set. Donating the Cherry Fish, Lightning Fish, Leaf Fish and Snow Fish completes it and counts toward your Fish wing tier progress on top of the standard set rewards, which is why community guides call it one of the most rewarding completions in the game.
